RCM Flo-Gard II Flow Switches

1000 / 2000 Series — Liquids & Gases, Hazardous Locations

RCM Flo-Gard II Flow Switch

The Flo-Gard II is a sturdy in-line metal flow switch (Brass or 316 SS) fitted with one or two independently adjustable Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) reed switches. Designed for safety interlock and control circuits on liquid or gas service.

Available in general purpose (GP) and intrinsically safe (IS) versions. IS units are CSA/NRTL, ATEX, and KEMA certified for Class I, Division 1, Groups A–D and Zone 0 hazardous locations. Optional LED indicators provide at-a-glance status and simplify field calibration.

Liquid flow ranges from 4 GPH to 3,000 GPM (½″ to 8″). Gas flow from 40 SCFH to 20,000 SCFM. Low-flow Option ES extends coverage below 2 GPM.

Standard Features

  • Suitable for opaque and clear fluids or gases.
  • CSA / KEMA approved for hazardous locations (Option IS).
  • ATEX EC Type Examination certified.
  • Liquid: 4 GPH (½″) to 3,000 GPM (8″); Gas: 40 SCFH to 20,000 SCFM.
  • 1S2 (one switch) or 2S2 (two switches) — independently adjustable 30–90% F.S.
  • Factory set: Switch #1 = 30% F.S., Switch #2 = 95% F.S.
  • LED indicator option for visual status and easy field calibration.
  • Low-flow Option ES available (below 2 GPM / 4 GPH minimum).
  • Aluminum housing; Bronze or 316 SS body and bellows.
  • Seal options: Buna-N (standard), Viton, EPR, Teflon.
